Alexa Cruz Suffers Loss Of Her Boyfriend Sledge

Alexa Cruz, the beautiful Latina porn star on sites such as Hard Jerking Girls, is suffering a tragic loss. Her longtime boyfriend of 3 years died after struggling with LAPD officers in the back of a ambulance. An incident that is as mysterious as it is tragic.
Marland Anderson, otherwise known as Sledge Hammer, was an imposing porn star who stood 6'1” and weighed about 210 pounds. He starred in over a thousand porn films, with his most notable work being done for the porn site Gang Bang Squad. While he was known as one of the hardest working porn stars in the industry, to his friends he was known for his quiet disposition. In fact, many of his friends have referred to him as a “teddy bear” and “respectful” of other people.
Sledge Hammer and Alexa Cruz met on a porn shoot and hit it off immediately. Before long, they had moved in together in an apartment in Canoga Park. About 3 months ago, he decided he was tired of the porn industry and decided to retire. That is when things started going down hill. Sledge started experiencing extended periods of insomnia and his gentle demeanor eventually yielded to paranoia.
On April 8, Sledge started to have issues and Alexa Cruz decided to call 911. Her hopes were that he would be able to get the psychiatric care that he desperately needed. She never thought that it would turn out so tragically.
The police came and decided he needed to be admitted on a 72 hour psychiatric hold. They loaded him into the ambulance and everything seemed to be under control. It wasn't, however. Not long after the ambulance sped off, Sledge became restless and started resisting the officer and the paramedic. He broke the handcuffs off of his wrist and quickly broke the gurney on which he was strapped. When the officer couldn't control him, the ambulance pulled over and backup was called in.
Six to eight officers showed up to help restrain Sledge. Even though they greatly outnumbered him and were armed with tasers, Sledge was still able to resist. Eventually the officers gained control of the situation and put him in the ambulance. 15 minutes later he arrived at the hospital.
What happened next is a mystery. The ambulance arrived at Northridge Hospital Medical Center at about 4:30 in the morning. By the time Alexa Cruz had shown up to visit her boyfriend, however, he had slipped into a coma. He was eventually diagnosed with brain damage and on April 13th, he was removed from the respirator and died. The LAPD are currently investigating the incident.
I have always been a fan of Alexa Cruz and have enjoyed her work on sites such as Gang Bang Squad. I have always thought she had a gentleness and grace that was unmatched by any other porn star in the business.
The only thing that I can do is extend my condolences to Alexa and the family of Sledge. This was a terrible incident and a loss of one of the great male porn stars in the industry.
