How many of you remember the old XXX movie theaters? I imagine that a many of you do, but I'm also quite sure that some of you have not had the pleasure of checking one of these dinosaurs of porn greatness. And since I'm talking about vintage porn today, then I thought we would take a trip down memory lane.
I remember checking out one of these theaters many years ago. It was located in a seedy part of town (as they usually were) and it seemed to have been placed out of the way intentionally. The outside facade was very plain, expect for a light splattering of neon and the promise of XXX bliss. I approached the chick who was running the ticket counter (who by the way looked bored as fucking hell) and stepped inside this temple of debauchery.
Once inside I navigated through the theater. It was almost pitch black, except for the screen which was alive with color and light. Looking around the theater, I could just barely make out the heads of the patrons who had their eyes glued to the screen. Though there was quite a few patrons in there, the theater still presented the feel of isolation. I carefully chose a seat near the back (the ideal location to be...especially if you intend on engaging in a little monkey spanking) and sat down. I don't remember the movie that played, but I do remember the atmosphere. That wonderful sleazy porn feel that seems to be lacking in today's pornographic entertainment. And I certainly remember those sticky floors!! You couldn't walk around one of those theaters without your sneakers sticking to them. I always comforted myself by thinking that it was candy or spilled soda, but we all know thats not what it was!!
But, those theater have all but vanished, except for a small splattering that still exist to this day.
