I think sometimes the line between amateur porn and pornstars can be terribly blurred. I have seen sites that obviously have professionally produced porn videos and they blow it off as amateur porn and in my head, this is the furthest thing from amateur porn.

I will not slap the produced porn, that is not my way, but I am going to try and teach you what amateur porn really is, or in my opinion.

Back when I started working in the Adult Industry in 1999, amateur porn was something that looked like we did it in our own homes in our bedrooms. Self-produced porn. I am sure you have heard some of the terms for this, right? Girlfriend porn, revenge porn, pov porn and the list goes on and on. Regardless of the term used for this, it is all amateur porn. Amateur porn is a lot like garage band music, if you will. The reason I say this is the way both are made. Amateurs have no professional background and very much looks like home movie put together on a very low budget, filmed most of the time on our smart phones or other devices.

I started in amateur porn, and I know it was amateur because we filmed it in my own home, my husband and I, so I know that was amateur porn. But in this day and age, you can look at the tags under a video and see that it says it is porn, but we all know it is not. Look at the other tags, and categories it is in, before you make the final call on whether to watch it or not. If you have to ask, chances are, it may well not be amateur porn. The one site I know is a real amateur site is Chick Pass, now that is a real amateur site, and we do not have to ask what it is.

You can take my word for it, or you can try and find out on your own, which is amateur and which one is trying to be. I just wanted to pop in and try and help you tell the real difference. Just watch the videos and be sure you can tell right away and always, if you have to ask, it probably is not the amateur porn that you seek.
